About our Bakery
We are ALWAYS a dedicated gluten-free bakery and we can also accommodate dairy-free, egg-free, soy-free, tree and peanut-free, corn-free, oat-free, cinnamon-free, coconut-free, dye-free, vegan and Keto options.
As a Dedicated Gluten-Free Baker, Amber Tipton, Owner was in culinary school when she and her daughter Emily received a celiac disease diagnosis. Having one pastry class left in school was the best scenario for learning this diagnosis, having the opportunity to explore the future of baking. Amber was able to research flour blends, test recipes, and learn how to apply classic baking techniques in order to achieve an excellent gluten-free product.
In March 2013, Amber began baking for friends and family to practice and upon graduation began selling her goods at a local farmers market where the business has continued to grow and meet the allergy needs of the celiac and gluten intolerant community. Since moving into the incubator space in Fairborn the menu has expanded to accommodate diary-free, corn-free, soy-free, egg-free, and vegan dietary needs.Since launching the Neighborhood Nest bakery, Amber and her team are committed to creating the most inclusive environment for those with food allergies and sensitivities possible. Our team is motivated by doing the right thing and making our customer’s days. At Neighborhood Nest, we sit together for a team meeting weekly to discuss customer feedback, team member workload, opportunities, strengths, weaknesses, process/procedure improvement and sit down to explore new ingredients to create a better product.
